These schools aim to provide equitable access to quality education for all, irrespective of socio-economic status.
Over the past two decades, Kazakhstan has witnessed significant educational reforms, with the establishment of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) being a notable development in secondary education. The schools were conceived as a groundbreaking endeavor to promote equity, diversity, and academic integrity, bridging the gap between students from varied socio-economic backgrounds. This paper aims to delve into the core principles of equity and diversity within NIS and juxtapose it with other private educational institutions, such as the Hailey Berry School.
