STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF FIXED WORD COMBINATIONS
Abstract
It is known that speech units appear by combining two or more languagee units during conversation. Language units appear on an associative basis. "The main distinguishing feature of speech units from language units is that they (speech units) are created in the speech process, aiming to meet the necessary need at that moment, while language units are used ready-made." Unlike free word combinations, fixed combinations have completeness of meaning, which is one of the main features of these combinations. "The sign of ready entry into the speech is the completeness of meaning of the corresponding combination. Completeness of meaning is characterized by either idiomaticity or terminality of meaning." Although the term fixed conjunction also includes the concept of fixed conjunction, the two terms are not equivalent to each other. The concept of fixed association has a wider scope of meaning.
