The article highlights work on research activities to develop teachers' research skills using STEM technologies. Studies by researchers studying research skills were reviewed. The possibilities of improving the quality of student education using STEM technologies are shown. The literature review presented the work of scientists who noted the importance of research skills and discussed the development of STEM technologies in Kazakhstan.
During the study, 1st and 3rd year students of the Kazakh-Turkish University named after Kozha Ahmet Yasawi were taken as research objects. A lesson using STEM technology was conducted for the students taken as the subject of the study. In lessons using STEM technology, new innovative methods (mnemonics, test) and online platforms (MOZAIK 3D. OnlineTestPad, Google form, Classroom.screen.com) were used.
Project-based learning was used to develop students' research skills, and the acronym STEAM was used to develop creativity levels. While conducting research, it will be very important to master basic information in the field of biology using the elements mentioned (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Individual opinions of teachers are reflected in the diagrams for achieving quality education in the field of biology education. It was studied that the vast majority of students are familiar with STEM technology and can apply the acquired theoretical information in real life.
