Language is not only a means of communication, it is also a means of education and a support that contributes to the unification of peoples and unites relations between people. "Languages Day" has been celebrated in Kazakhstan for several years, which is a clear sign of friendship, kinship and unity of all citizens of the country. After all, the friendship of peoples, mutual understanding and cooperation are the main pillars of the construction of the new Kazakhstan.
At present, in addition to the Kazakh language, more than 10 national languages of the peoples living in the country are studied in the schools of Kazakhstan. This allows representatives of all national minorities of Kazakhstan to join their culture, history, and acquire knowledge in their native languages. "Day of the Languages of the Peoples of Kazakhstan" was announced by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 20, 1998 and became a general holiday for all Kazakhs. Representatives of more than a hundred nationalities live in the country. Each language has its own historical roots related to the fate of other languages. Through language, people find each other, learn to understand the spiritual culture, customs, and rituals of the people.
In his address to the people of Kazakhstan, the head of the country defined the priorities of the work done in the field of education and noted that, as in the whole world, it is necessary to switch to new methods of education in Kazakhstan. The policy of trilingualism is based on the requirement for the citizens of the country to know the Kazakh language.
In the language policy of Kazakhstan, special importance is attached to the Russian language, which is considered one of the world languages and is widely used in the modern world. The third element is the English language, which occupies a dominant position in the modern world. English opens a window to the world and globalization for Kazakhs. Kazakhstan is increasingly involved in international processes and contacts. In today's society, English is considered the most important resource for a person's professional development.
Responsible language policy is one of the main factors that unite the Kazakh people. Currently, the state of Kazakhstan is implementing a plan of active measures to enable the young generation to actively learn the Kazakh language as well as the Russian and English languages. During an interactive lecture at the University of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the government regarding the implementation of trilingualism: "First, modern teaching methods should be applied in educational institutions based on advanced international experience, and those methods should be innovative, creative and with the formation of technology. The second is the detailed development of a systematic proposal for the admission of children to education. The third is to ensure the wide application of trilingualism at the educational level. This is how we can build a logical system for learning languages. The basics will be learned at the kindergarten level, at the basic level at school, at the university or college - in the professional language of the majors."
