Acclimatized and hunted (game) animals of Azerbaijan

Abstract

The species composition of acclimatized animals and game animals should be determined in laboratory studies. There are many reasons for the acclimatization of animals. Along with many methods (chemical, physical, endocrinological, mechanical), biological control measures are also used in the control measures against several agricultural and forest pests. One form of that measure is the transfer of other animals dangerous to the pest species from other areas. This is sometimes called the relocation and acclimatization method. For example, new animal species were transferred and acclimatized to many countries (or continent) with the active or passive participation of humans. The acclimatization of more than 137 animal species was carried out in the countries of the former union, including Azerbaijan. Pursuant to incomplete information, 10 species of insects, 5 species of fish, and 5 species of mammals were introduced to that fauna. The acclimatization process of these animals continues.
