Abstract

Let's start with the foundation that the logistics industry is the primary structure of the global trade to ensure goods reach their destinations at the right place, right time and in the right condition where all the transportation involved in the supply chain operations is having an environmental impact is an increasingly concern , where the word sustainability is taking place in the industry more and more; it's no longer a trend but a need.

Green logistics has become an essential component of the logistics sector worldwide. Transportation, warehousing, and packaging processes arise from the considerable environmental impact caused by the sector's carbon emissions. These operations contribute substantially, contributing to escalating environmental challenges such as global warming. Which is why demanding greener practices, transforming operations to align with sustainability and reducing environmental footprint are prior compelling the industry where the goal at some point in the future is zero-emissions.
