Abstract

The article is devoted to studying language's role in forming and transforming social identity. The influence of language practices on social structures and cultural norms is analysed based on sociological theories such as symbolic interactionism, social construction of reality and the concept of linguistic capital. Special attention is paid to the linguistic landscape of Kazakhstan, where the interaction of Kazakh, Russian and English languages reflects the processes of globalization, migration and digitalization. The problems of linguistic diversity preservation, language policy challenges, and formation of hybrid identities are considered. The article highlights the importance of further research to develop effective strategies for integrating and preserving cultural heritage in a context of global change.
