Abstract

            This article explores the role of formative assessment in enhancing student progress in English language lessons. Formative assessment is considered not only a way to monitor academic performance but also a strategy to support student motivation, autonomy, and reflective learning. The article discusses theoretical foundations and offers practical suggestions for implementing formative assessment effectively in language classrooms.
