Abstract

In an era defined by hyperconnectivity and rapid digital transformation, cybersecurity has emerged as both a technological and geopolitical cornerstone. This study conducts a cross-national comparative analysis of cybersecurity infrastructures across major global regions—including the United States, the European Union, and selected developing countries—to reveal how policy frameworks, investment levels, and technological strategies shape national resilience. Using authentic statistical datasets from international cybersecurity indexes (ITU, Statista, and World Economic Forum), we analyze patterns in cybersecurity spending, attack frequency, and public awareness, visualized through comparative graphs and data-driven correlations.

The findings highlight that while developed nations invest significantly in AI-based threat detection, encryption, and cyber defense automation, developing countries still face challenges in building skilled human resources, adopting proactive defense models, and establishing unified regulatory systems. Economically, the global cybersecurity market surpassed $250 billion in 2024 and is projected to exceed $400 billion by 2030, with AI integration representing the fastest-growing segment.

The paper discusses future innovations such as quantum-resistant encryption, decentralized cybersecurity networks, and predictive AI systems capable of real-time anomaly detection. The study concludes that global cybersecurity progress depends not only on technology but also on ethical frameworks, data transparency, and international collaboration.
