Abstract

The Caspian Basin is one of the important regions characterized by the complexity of its geological structure and rich oil and gas reserves. This article comprehensively analyzes the stratigraphic structure and lithological characteristics of Middle Jurassic sediments. The study was conducted on the basis of field observations, petrographic and geochemical analyses. The results show that Middle Jurassic sediments formed in different lithofacies environments and reflect the paleogeographic development of the region.
