THE TATAR WOMEN'S PROSE AND POETRY IN KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract

The contemporary literary landscape of Kazakhstan is unimaginable without active participation of women writers and poetesses.

Women's prose is noticeably different from men's. Its main characteristic is a worldview which is different from men’s. In prose written by women, the author pays more attention to family values, the contrast between childhood and adulthood, and concepts of home, love, and fidelity. The personal lives of the characters, rather than their social activism, are emphasized. Contemporary women's prose is far from the simmering political passions, social controversies, and disputes. It is characterized by profound psychological insight. Books by female writers are always a fascinating journey through the unknown realm of the soul.

Contemporary women's prose is a prose about life. In contemporary women's prose, the plot is based on everyday stories that can happen to absolutely anyone. The distinctive features of women's prose lie not in overcoming the described situation, but in the lessons that the characters learn from it.
