Abstract

The results of the practical application of mobile direct-prospecting technology of oil and gas accumulations prospecting and exploration on two local areas of interest of a large prospecting block are analyzed. The technology includes the frequency-resonance method of remote sensing data processing and decoding and ground-based geoelectric methods of forming a short-pulsed electromagnetic field (FSPEF) and vertical electric-resonance sounding (VERS). Some methods of technology can be used at various stages of prospecting operations - reconnaissance (assessment of petroleum potential of major search blocks) detailed (assessment of projected oil and gas resources within the individual anomalous zones, detected at the reconnaissance phase), the field (ground-based field studies by geoelectric methods FSPEF and VERS to clarify the projected oil and gas resources and the choice the optimal locations of exploration wells laying). The detailed works within the "Central" and "Western" anomalous zones have been allow: a) to refine the anomalies contours; b) to set the center points of the anomalous zones, in which by the vertical scanning of cross-section in the range of 500-3100 m and 700-2700 m the depths and thicknesses of dedicated APL of the "oil" and "gas" type have been determined; c) to calculate by the received data the volume of the most promising APL of "oil" type and to evaluate the projected oil resources in their – 42.33 and 35.31 million tons. The vertical channel of deep fluids migration has been discovered within the anomalous zones ontours. Within two layers of the "gas" type the anomalous responses at the resonance frequencies of hydrogen have been documented, in one layer - at helium.

It is recommended to use the direct-prospecting technology in combination with traditional geophysical methods (with seismic, primarily). Its use can bring significant effect during searching for commercial hydrocarbon accumulations in unconventional reservoirs (including the areas of shale spreading, rocks of the Bazhenov formation, coal-bearing formations and crystalline rocks). Mobile technology can also be successfully used during investigation of poorly studied areas and block within the known oil and gas-bearing basins.
