Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study involves participants from one Gymnasium school in Almaty, focusing on five primary school English teachers and twenty-five students. Through a meticulous examination, the research explores the advantages and disadvantages inherent in each approach, shedding light on the nuanced complexities of foreign language education. The findings aim to provide practical insights for educators, emphasizing the need for a tailored approach in the development of reading skills. While recognizing the limitations of the study, this research opens avenues for further exploration and underscores the importance of adapting teaching methods to optimize language learning outcomes.
