Optimizing Reading Skills: A Comparative Analysis of Group and Individual Approaches in Foreign Language Education

This research addresses the central question of identifying optimal methods for enhancing reading skills in foreign language education, specifically comparing the efficacy of group and individual approaches. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study involves participants from one Gymnasium school in Almaty, focusing on five primary school English teachers and twenty-five students. Through a meticulous examination, the research explores the advantages and disadvantages inherent in each approach, shedding light on the nuanced complexities of foreign language education. The findings aim to provide practical insights for educators, emphasizing the need for a tailored approach in the development of reading skills. While recognizing the limitations of the study, this research opens avenues for further exploration and underscores the importance of adapting teaching methods to optimize language learning outcomes. The implications of this research extend beyond immediate practice, offering a foundation for continued exploration into the intricate dynamics of language education.
