Abstract

As is generally known, Georgian written monuments have been found since the Vth century. Available sources are interesting in many ways. Among them, centuries-old contacts of Georgia and the Georgian people with other peoples are of special importance from the cultiral point of view, which should be the basis of the variety of names and naming traditions in Georgia. Jews names in Georgia form a different group, which in the lexical system of the language, with an inehauistible abundance of facts, variety of forms, specific semantics and grammatical structure, are a very interesting arena for linguistic research
