Abstract

The intersection of probiotics and medicinal plants is a promising direction for the development of innovative pharmaceutical compositions, especially in the field of wound care. In recent years, increasing attention to the problem of antibiotic resistance has necessitated the search for alternative therapeutic strategies, prompting researchers to study the synergistic effects of natural compounds on bacterial growth. Probiotics, known for their beneficial effects on human health, can modulate the immune response and inhibit the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, while medicinal plants contain various bioactive compounds with proven antimicrobial activity.

The article presents an approach to the creation of an application dosage form containing as an active substance a composition of one or more probiotics (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, L.rhamnosus, L. rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, B.longum) and an extract from some plants of the Lamiaceae family of the genus Scutellaria (Scutellaria przewalskii Juz., Scutellaria sieversii, Scutellaria transiliensi), the genus Dracocephalum (Dracocephalum imberbe, Dracocephalum discolor Bunge, Dracocephalum grandiflorum, Dracocephalum stamineum, Dracocephalum bipinnatum., Dracocephalum peregrinum, Dracocephalum karataviense, Dracocephalum nutans, Dracocephalum ruyschiana, etc.) and the genus Nepeta (Nepeta pannonica, Nepeta cataria), which have antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory activity.
