Abstract

The article describes in general the features of the emergence and essence of existentialism as a philosophical doctrine, its main features, concepts, concepts. The emphasis in the article is made on the specifics of French existentialism as a philosophical doctrine of the period of the Second World War. The author tried to show the differences between the French current of existentialism, which demonstrates the rejection of the orientation towards scientific knowledge and the desire to listen to the changing moods of people's minds, their situational and historical experiences in a difficult era - the era of the 20th century. In conclusion, the article concludes that it is French existentialism as a philosophical doctrine that is characterized by a humanistic orientation.
