Abstract

Despite the large number of works describing the specifics of Islamic mysticism in the social, cultural and philosophical direction, the modern forms of the existence of Sufism, as well as the forms of the revival of Sufism under the influence of historical realities at the present stage, are still insufficiently studied.

The study of Sufism at the present stage is accompanied by the formulation of a number of questions. In particular, what forms of Sufism attract modern man, the activities of Sufi institutions at the present stage, the transformation of ideas and practices in accordance with real realities, the key trends in the development of Sufism.

Attitude to the teachings on the part of the representatives of the "official" Islam, as well as on the part of society. These issues require consideration and study at the present stage.

In addition, there was no single conceptual view of the historical past of our people. It is known that Islam spread through Sufism in the Kazakh steppe, but modern imams are ambiguous about the active Sufi groups. Society perceives any "isms" through the prism of a cult and a sect. As a result, dissonance arises, which entails distrust on the part of citizens towards everything related to religion.

During the years of independence of Kazakhstan, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, interest in spiritual values began to noticeably increase in the country. The revival took place in a variety of areas. Based on the doctrines, moral precepts and methods of the Sufi brotherhoods, there was a revival of interest in Sufi teachings and practices.
