Abstract

In modern times, the chemistry of high molecular compounds is one of the independent fields of science that is developing at a great speed. Currently, there is no field of human activity in which high molecular complex materials based on polymers are not used.

Humans have been in contact with high molecular compounds in their daily lives since the beginning of their existence. Thus, cellulose, which is the basis of the tree, natural rubber, which is the juice of the Hevea tree, wool, silk, linen and cotton, starch, which is the basis of leather, potato and wheat, etc. are natural polymers. All these have always been one of the most important resources for human life.

Polymers are also widely distributed in non-living nature. The main part of the earth's surface is silicon 4-oxide and aluminum oxide in the form of polymers.
