WELL – KNOWN HISTORIAN SARA ASHURBEYLI AND MAIDEN TOWERS, A RARE PEARL OF AZERBAIJANI CULTURE

Abstract

The study of the history of antiquity and the Middle Ages is carried out on the basis of various sources. Humanity has always shown great interest in the study and study of these periods and in the course of research it has focused more on the periods marked. In this regard, different scientists and researchers used different sources when conducting research. The creativity of Sara Ashurbeyli, a well – known Azerbaijani scientist, prominent researcher, is of great interest for this reason. Ashurbeyli`s creativity is very diverse. Whether the monographs he wrote, the scientific articles he published, or the speeches he made at meetings of various levels, this scientist was notable for the versatility of both his own and the research he conducted. In Sara Ashurbeyli`s studies on the history of both the state of Shirvanshahs and the city of Baku, a fairly amount of material was collected, thoroughly studied, numerous medieval sources were put into scientific circulation and ideas, theories and evidence were put forward that do not lose their relevance today.
