Abstract

Digital communication technologies (DCTs) have become essential tools for managing information and communication within modern organisations. This study examines their impact on organisational efficiency, employee engagement, and decision-making, with a focus on media and information management. Using surveys of 500 employees across finance, healthcare, and education sectors, and interviews with 30 organisational leaders, the research identifies key benefits and challenges of digital communication. Findings reveal that DCTs enhance connectivity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, but issues such as technological disparities, information overload, and reduced social presence can limit effectiveness. The study highlights the importance of strategic implementation, ongoing training, and fostering a digital communication culture to ensure effective organisational messaging and sustainable information practices.
