The work of women and men is valued differently due to gender bias. This affected not only the public sector, but also the private sector. There are very few statistics in Kazakhstan: a very small number of private companies are covered, which does not give a sufficient picture of the collection of information regarding women's leadership positions.
Men and women may or may not have an innate psychological predisposition for traditional roles: men must be aggressive, competitive, self-reliant, take risks; women should be supportive, caring, intuitive, sensitive, sociable, but, of course, both men and women are capable of the whole range of behavior. Indeed, male and female roles have already begun to expand and merge. In the coming decades, as the socialization of boys and girls and the experiences and expectations of boys and girls steadily become more androgynous, differences in behavior in the workplace will continue to blur. At present, however, we are still plagued by differences in perceptions and behaviors that make the integration of men and women in the workplace unnecessarily difficult and costly.
