The paper focuses on the presentation and pilot testing of an occupational therapy programme aimed at developing the foundations of graphomotor skills through tracing activities in preschool children. The research sample consisted of eight boys aged 5 to 7 years with difficulties in fine motor skills and without cognitive impairment. The intervention programme was carried out over a period of five months in a group setting, with an individual approach to each child, and consisted of five content-related modules that followed one another. The assessment was conducted before and after the intervention using an author-developed five-point rating scale, which focused on seven areas related to the performance of graphic activities. The results showed an improvement in the mean level of performance in all monitored areas. The findings suggest the potential benefits of systematic occupational therapy activities in developing abilities and skills that provide a foundation for subsequent graphomotor training.
