Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of teaching German as a second foreign language to students learning English as a first language. The article highlights issues of interference in mastering the phonetic, grammatical and lexical structure of the German language. Based on his own teaching experience, as well as a survey of students, the author gives examples of mistakes that English students make and offers recommendations for reducing interference by learning a second foreign language.
