Abstract

. The article reveals the essence of the formation of professionalism of the activity and personality of higher school teachers associated with the promotion of a high level of requirements imposed by society and the professional community to economic activity. In our opinion, a properly organized process of professional development of teachers of higher education will help in solving this problem. The article discusses new approaches to improving the quality of higher education, including in the areas of development of modern programs, certification of graduates, the introduction of a system of academic integrity, the rating of educational programs of universities. A set of measures to improve the quality of training for the new economy of the country also involves the creation of the association "League of Academic Integrity". The article proposes a set of measures to improve the quality of training and competitiveness of universities, including at the international level. A teacher of a higher school should be aware that teaching is a type of scientific and pedagogical work aimed at managing the cognitive, cognitive activity of students, and in order to constantly improve the quality of training specialists, the teacher needs to master the skill of managing this activity to a high extent. The university's management system, like any other organization, largely determines the results in all areas of its activities.
