In the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK) the epidemiological analysis of morbidity and mortality of esophageal cancer (EC) from 2006 to 2020 has been carried out. In 2020 for the first time in RK 1082 persons were taken on the dispensary account with DP diagnosis and it occupies the ninth place among all malignant neoplasms, 709 persons died. During these years there was a tendency to decrease the rate of primary RP morbidity from 9.3% ooo to 5.7% ooo and mortality from 8.1% ooo to 3.8% ooo. Men were 1.4 times more often ill than women. The regions with high morbidity rates (Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions, Atyrau and Mangystau regions) are highlighted. Increase of specific weight of I-II stages almost twice is noted. Ratio of mortality rate to morbidity according to standardized indices decreased from 81,2% to 66,7% during this period which proves the improvement of oncological care parameters for the population of Kazakhstan. The revealed features of RP morbidity and mortality in the territory of Kazakhstan will be taken into account at perspective planning of oncologic care for RP patients.
