ABOUT THE SUBJECT CURRICULUM OF THE AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE

Abstract

The educational program (curriculum) for the subject of the Azerbaijani language is a conceptual document that defines the goals and objectives of this subject and includes the necessary activities for the realization of the standards directed towards it. While preparing this document, the needs and requirements of our society, the possibilities, inclinations and interests of the students were taken into account. General learning outcomes for the subject, content standards, technologies related to teacher and student activities, and evaluation issues are covered here. It serves to guide the authors of textbooks and teaching aids, teachers, assessment specialists and other education workers involved in teaching the Azerbaijani language.

The content of Azerbaijani language training is developed on the basis of result-oriented standards. Determining outcomes in advance allows for consistent evaluation to monitor and guide the development of activities directed toward them.

While preparing the content standards, it is intended to cover the cognitive, informative-communicative and involuntary activities of students, to develop thinking, emotional and psychomotor skills. All standards are expressed in the form of skills related to activities, and the focus is on determining the achievements of students in terms of knowledge and skills.

The teaching of the mother tongue in secondary schools is considered one of the important issues from the point of view of national interests and statehood. In the countries of the world, teaching the mother tongue is highly valued as an important tool in the formation of national thinking.
