Our primary goal is to understand the formation and development of the idea of personal freedom and the struggle for free human development in the early drama of Friedrich Schiller, one of the greatest thinkers of the Enlightenment, within the context of the era's socio-political conditions and the distinctive characteristics of German Enlightenment aesthetics, which exerted a profound influence on the evolution of the universal concept of freedom
