Abstract

. This article examines the role and pedagogical potential of digital resources in teaching the Kazakh language and literature in the context of contemporary education. The rapid integration of digital technologies into educational practice has transformed not only the ways in which instructional content is delivered but also learners’ modes of engagement, teachers’ professional practices, and approaches to lesson design. The article focuses on the use of electronic educational resources, multimedia materials, online platforms, electronic dictionaries, interactive exercises, digital storytelling, podcasts, and artificial intelligence-based tools in Kazakh language and literature education. Particular attention is paid to the potential of digital resources to enhance vocabulary acquisition, consolidate grammatical knowledge, and develop learners’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. In literature education, digital technologies can facilitate access to the historical and cultural contexts of literary works, support character analysis, encourage creative responses, and promote students’ independent interpretation of texts. At the same time, the article considers a number of challenges associated with the digitalization of education, including the digital divide, the reliability of online information, academic integrity, excessive screen time, and teachers’ digital competence. The analysis demonstrates that the pedagogical value of digital resources does not depend on the number or technological sophistication of tools employed, but rather on their alignment with learning objectives, subject content, and learners’ needs. The article concludes that the purposeful and pedagogically grounded integration of digital technologies can enrich Kazakh language and literature education while supporting the development of learners’ linguistic, communicative, creative, and digital competencies
