Abstract

The integration of audiovisual games into foreign language teaching in basic school has become an increasingly significant pedagogical trend. This article examines the theoretical and practical value of audiovisual game-based learning for developing communicative competence, enhancing motivation, and improving linguistic and cognitive skills among learners. Drawing on the contemporary research in educational psychology, second language acquisition, and multimedia learning, the study explores how audiovisual games stimulate multiple channels of perception, reduce learner anxiety, and promote active engagement.

This article also highlights practical classroom applications and offers recommendations for educators seeking to integrate audiovisual games into their teaching practice
